This website is operated by American Foundation For Furtheringideas That Rekindle The Miracle Of Affirm1776, publicly known as Affirm1776, a 501(c)(3) Public Charity registered in Hartwell, Georgia, United States (EIN 20-8611120). References to “we”, “us”, and “the foundation” mean that organization.

The short version

We collect only what you choose to send us through the contact form. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no social media trackers, and does not sell, rent, or share personal information.

Information you give us

When you submit the contact form we receive the name, email address, subject line, and message you entered. We ask for these because we cannot answer an enquiry without them.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider records standard server logs for every request — including IP address, timestamp, requested URL, and browser user agent. These are generated by the infrastructure, are used for security and reliability, and are retained according to the provider’s own schedule. We also use the IP address momentarily, in memory, to rate-limit contact form submissions and deter automated abuse.

We do not use cookies for analytics, personalisation, or advertising. No cookie banner appears on this site because there is nothing to consent to.

How we use your information

• To read and respond to your enquiry.
• To keep a record of correspondence, so that a later message can be understood in context.
• To protect the website and the contact endpoint from abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations that apply to a registered nonprofit organization.

We do not use your details for marketing, and we will not add you to a mailing list because you contacted us.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share it only with service providers that operate this website on our behalf — currently our hosting provider — and only to the extent needed for them to do so. Retention

Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and to maintain a reasonable record of the foundation’s communications, after which it is deleted. Server logs are retained by the hosting provider under its own retention policy.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are validated and sanitised on the server, rate-limited, and protected against cross-site request forgery. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation. Contact us through the form and we will respond.

Children

This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us such information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We link to external collections held by institutions such as the National Archives and the Library of Congress. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.
